Anyone who saw him play would understand how brilliant he was and would kiss over anyone in our current team
A highly talented and loyal player for our club
How he managed to even play again after the injury is a miracle

Litbarski was reminiscent but that won't help the pups
Remember that the bloke played alongside a majestic Booking and in front of a crowd of which a high number witnessed the WC 3, and they adored him
Slight of build, yet rode a tackle/hit, rapid top end speed but better still ludicrous acceleration, ball stuck to his foot which was a wand, scored too - bloke was a genius on ropey pitches
I challenge anyone who saw him play to say that he would be anything less than £50m in today's market and possibly more given refereeing standards and the quality of pitches

Even though Geno and bondsy were me favourites, Devo was a great player as well.
You knew a good move would start to flow as soon as he got hold of the ball. Took some whacks fm defenders but still run rings round em. Quality.

I loved the way he used to 'nudge in' to the ball, the build up to The Cup Final goal was a perfect example.
Most modern footballers are all jerky with their feints and stepovers - Dev was pure smooth silk

My 4th favourite west ham player of all time. Had the ability to go past defenders like they weren't there, quick feet and equally effective on both left or right bewildering defenders. The only part missing from his game was a lack of goals. Scored a great one though against Everton up at Elland Road in the FA cup semi-final replay.

I think he might be just as popular with the Maidenhead Town fans. Top of the National Southern League with a five point lead,and game in hand. Top equal goal scorers,and best defensive record. I just can't imagine him throwing tea cups at players in the changing room at half time though!
